This is the brainchild of me, Ryan Taylor, the obsessive, compulsive and fanatical Yorkshire lad, longing for life in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Caught*Red-handed has gone through a number of permutations and mutations, all of which have resulted in a stonkingly better C*R-h, I’ll think you’ll agree..

So who are you?
Well, my name is Ryan and I’m 24 and I hale from the emerald shores of the UK, though whenever I’m in the country, I feel like an alien most of the time. I’ve never been a fan, and never really felt any kind of patriotism for the place, so I suppose my desire for a permanent emigration to the other side of the world is not so ridiculous (ignore my crappy attempt at justification, ladies and gents!)

I’ve never written anything for the web prior to this blog, so best endeavours and all that. Currently trying to get my head around Japanese, which is a bit of a love-hate relationship, pro’ly 80-20 division at the moment, but that fluctuates, dependant on whether katakana gets in the way, or not! Apart from my addiction to all things Japanese, extremely into graphic design and typography at the mo; a blog as a place for my artwork and appreciation of typography is in the pipeline, but it’s not something I know enough about currently, so holding off for fear of making myself look like a complete pratt. Oh yea, and I really like cheese, just so you know.

So what’s the fuss all about?
Well, I just needed a place to live, really. So, I thought I’d set up in this lovely (not so) little community of Jbloggers. Japan has been my passion for, well, not that long really, but now that I’ve begun to find my feet, things have really taken off and I’m obsessed with everything ‘Japanish’.

And why ‘Caught*Red-handed’?
Well, it’s been a name I’ve kinda bandied around for a while now, and one that I’ve used as my moniker on various projects that I’ve completed over the years. I was scared that with no real connection to Japan, it may not work, but it ends up on all my other stuff, so why not this, hey?

Can I join in?
You bet you can! Comment freely! Express your thoughts! None of this is an exact science, rather the ramblings of a kid coveting Japan, so feel free to adjust, alter, bequeath, condone, lap up, argue or agree. The site is mainly taken up with the homepage. There, you’ll find my latest catches: topics either from my everyday meanderings or things of incessant interest: titbits from here, there and everywhere. As new topics are caught, they will be detangled from their watery nets and served up for you in a pretty, little box for your viewing delight. Bit of salt and pepper, perfect. Smells good, right?

Also, I will be featuring guest bloggers from time to time to take to the stage at C*R-h, so feel if you think you have something worth a natter, then email here and I’ll do my damnedest to get it posted.
