Okidoky, welcome to the actual first, real catch. Feeling privileged, right? So you should be. I thought seeing as we’re still getting to know each other that we might start with some lovely Japanese greetings. Should you ever find yourself on the Japanese tube, or in a shop in Kyoto then these’ll come in smashingly. Otherwise, just shout them randomly at people in the streets..
If you can’t follow my ridiculous attempt at sounding out the words in type, then just hit ‘Play’ above and listen to me equally decimate the beautiful Japanese lingo.
So, all introductions should start with this one:
おはようございます = Good morning (Oh-high-yo-go-zigh-E-mass)
Well, unless it’s not the morning, obviously. Then, you’d need this one:
こんにちは = Good day (Con-ni-chee-wa)
And if the stars are twinkling brightly in the sky, then this’ll do:
こんばんは = Good evening (Con-ban-wa)
So now you’re set. Totally set. You couldn’t be more setter..
