..and take away with the other.
“Oh marvellous”, I sigh, as I get up on this Monday morning, early, mind you, in order to get some work done before work actually starts. Looking out of the window, it would appear like the weekend never occurred, like somebody came along with a giant, Britain-sized eraser and wiped the sunshine, the smiles and the skimpy clothes off the page. In replacement, drawn with a broken pencil by a boy with only one eye, is a venomous, but accurate, portrayal of the weather de facto in Britain.
It’s raining. Normal business has most certainly been resumed. I shouldn’t be dismayed, and I’m certainly not surprised, but one cannot help but think that actually, isn’t it about time that the rain moved on, leaving this very green, but very damp country behind? What about Bahrain, or Dubai, or Barbados? I’m sure they’re due their fair share of the wet stuff? Perhaps Equatorial Guinea might like some of it. We could build a massive sieve in the sky, bottle it up and ship it over; maybe that’d ‘plug’ some of the gap in Labour’s crazy accounting (pardon the pun, hehe).
Ah well, not to worry, I’m sure it’ll pass..at 09:01.
