On the horizon a flickering light can be seen. At first it is but a small pinprick of light against a sky of deafening blackness. As you look, you notice that actually the light is not burning white as you first thought, in fact it’s green, that is bright, fluorescent green. The light is now getting bigger, the darkness not quite so deafening. Suddenly, a flash of light bursts above you, again green, but this time, like somebody has released a million fireworks all at once, the light is colossal, almost burning its iridescence on the back of your eyes. And then, from nowhere and everywhere all at once, you hear the sounds of violins…
Why hello all you wonderful people: it’s happened, the day has finally arrived! For ages now, I’ve been banging on about a change at Caught*Red-handed, a complete shift of focus, and the introduction of a new medium through which to entertain the very faithful followers of Caught*Red-handed. Since the site’s inception, I’ve found blogging to be ridiculously good fun, and it was a little push from a number of you that has led me down this merry path to open a whole new phase of blogging for your hearing delight.
So, instead of me blabbering on for hours on end, I’ll pass you over to the rest of this post, so that you can see for yourself what has been happening to get this show on the road. Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you: RedBox..
So what do you think? Well, actually, hold that thought, there’s still plenty to go yet! In fact, now that I seem to have got you suitably interested, why not check out the first issue of RedBox, right now, right here!? In this episode, I run through the finer points of RedBox, just so you can get a flavour of what’s to come, and what it means for you should you wish to use Caught*Red-handed via RedBox. Each RedBox enabled post will have the RedBox image in the top right of the opening graphic (as shown in the video, and at the top of this post, in fact) and a link like the one below at both the top and the bottom of the post. That way, if you fancy listening to the post rather than reading it, you’ve got the option to do so at either end! Or, subscribe via iTunes and get each new Caught*Red-handed post directly to your device, for the best possible C*R-h experience!

And that, my friends, is about it. Phew! As you can see, quite a bit of effort has gone into making Caught*Red-handed as fun, entertaining, interesting and exciting as possible, and I really hope you like the new addition. So, if you have any comments, then please let me know them at the bottom of the post: I want the good, the bad, and the ugly, so please don’t mince your words as that’s the only way I’m going to be able to get this just perfect for you.
Oh, and while we’re in the communication groove, I may as well tell you about the other ways that you can now get hold of Caught*Red-handed. If you scroll to the top of the page, then you’ll be able to see these eight icons on the right hand side:

They’re pretty self-explanatory, however the most notable additions are the second one (which, if you do have iTunes, means you can subscribe to RedBox right now [hint, hint..]), the third one (which, if you don’t have iTunes, means you can link into the RedBox feed through a normal RSS viewer) and the fourth one (which, if you have Skype, will add me directly to your contacts listing – so get in touch!)
Oh yea, I nearly forgot: the goodies! Unfortunately, I couldn’t stretch to champagne and canapés I’m afraid, however I did manage to put together some cool bits and pieces that you can download as you wish, so just click on the link below for the full run-down (before you do though, remember to let me know what you think about RedBox in the comments below!) And don’t forget to watch out for the first RedBox enabled Guest_bloggers post next week, it’s going to be brilliant. Right then, I’ll get off my soap box and go back to bringing you some interesting posts. ‘Nuf said..
